Privacy Policy · Android Application
This page explains, plainly, what Image Compressor does with your data. Short version: compression, resizing, format conversion, and PDF creation all happen on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
// this is what the app does to your images. it is also all it does — no copy leaves the device.
Image Compressor is built to work without knowing much about you at all. Here's the full picture, by data type:
| Data type | Collected? | Leaves device? |
|---|---|---|
| Your photos / images | Accessed locally | No |
| Compressed / converted output files | Accessed locally | No |
| Name, email, phone number | Not collected | — |
| Precise location | Not collected | — |
| Advertising identifiers (via AdMob) | Collected by Google | Yes, to Google |
We — the developer — never see your images. They're read from your device's storage, processed by the app on your device's processor, and written back to storage. That's the entire flow.
The app requests exactly one permission, and only for one reason:
We don't request Camera, Contacts, Location, Microphone, or any other sensitive permission.
No image, converted file, or PDF generated by this app is ever transmitted to us or to any third party as part of these features.
The app displays ads through Google AdMob to keep it free to use. AdMob may collect certain data on its own behalf — such as advertising identifiers, device information, and general usage data — to show and measure ads.
This data collection is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours, since we don't control what AdMob collects or how long it's retained:
Your images are never shared with AdMob or any ad network — advertising and image processing are completely separate parts of the app.
Since your images are never uploaded, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. Processed files stay in your device's storage under your control, exactly like any other file — you can delete them at any time using your device's file manager.
Image Compressor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app doesn't collect personal data beyond what's described above, there is minimal risk in this area regardless of user age.
Because processing happens entirely on your device:
If this policy changes — for example, if a future update adds a new feature that handles data differently — we'll update this page and revise the date shown at the top. Continuing to use the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
